One of Young Lives Trust’s missions is to support research to improve the treatment of children with cancer. 40 years ago less than a quarter of people with cancer survived but in the last 40 years survival rate has doubled due to the work of researchers around the world. Through investment in research, researchers are constantly working on how to aid the prevention of cancer, early diagnosis, development of new treatment, and improving on the current treatment in order to improve the survival rate and quality of life of our children. We therefore want to help in funding this research into all types of childhood cancer by funding the development of more effective curative therapies with fewer toxic side effects. YLT will support our research partner organizations with 15% of all donations to the Trust.
